Ways to Get Involved

Issachar Christian Academy deeply values the partnership between home and school. We believe a thriving Christian school community is built on the faithful service of its families. We are truly grateful for every volunteer who gives of their time, talents, and heart.

Parent Volunteer Commitment

To support our school community:

Each family with enrolled children is expected to contribute 50 volunteer hours per year.

Single-parent families are expected to contribute 25 volunteer hours per year.

If a family is unable to fulfill the volunteer commitment, a fee of $500 per parent will be required in lieu of service hours.

Volunteer hours may be completed at your convenience throughout the school year, with a wide variety of opportunities available.

Why Volunteer

Volunteering strengthens more than just our budget—it strengthens our community and fosters a shared mission.

When parents serve:

  • Serving during school hours allows us to expand programs and better meet student needs.

    Opportunities may include:

    • Assisting with one-on-one or small group activities under teacher direction

    • Supporting administrative initiatives

    • Helping with classroom preparation

    • Assisting with class trips

    • Sharing expertise with students

Please Note: A current Police Records Check for Service with the Vulnerable Sector and completion of school-approved Child Welfare Training are required before working with students.

  • Parents may lead or assist with extracurricular activities such as:

    • Robotics

    • Arts Club

    • Athletics or sports programs

    • Special interest clubs

    • Also families take turns once a month cleaning our school

These programs enrich student life and provide valuable opportunities for growth beyond the classroom.

Please Note: A current Police Records Check for Service with the Vulnerable Sector and completion of school-approved Child Welfare Training are required before working with students.

  • Our Fundraising Committee plays a vital role in supporting the financial health of the school.

Each year, families are invited to participate in organized fundraising efforts that help offset operating costs.

    Major events may include:

    • Fall Apple Pie Making

    • Annual spring auction

    • Community events and special campaigns

These efforts significantly reduce tuition costs and help keep Christian education accessible for families.

A Shared Mission

Volunteers are an essential part of a healthy Christian school. By serving together, we not only meet practical needs but also reflect the love of Christ through faithful stewardship and joyful community.

Thank you for partnering with us in this important work.
